There is a Logistics building type you unlock called "Filter", which allows you to filter out one or two kinds of stuff, or only allow one certain kind through. Until then, you can build the the Funnel logistics building at the input of other buildings. It rejects things that aren't accepted by the building it's attached to.
(Of course, you need other belts to put the filtered-out items onto in all these cases).
When the Kiln is facing so the clay input is coming in from the western direction, the fire / flame animation is in the wrong location. It shows on the opposite side of where it should be.

Just a note about a minor graphical issue.

Hotkeys for zooming in and out would be nice. I am playing on a laptop trackpad, and don't think there's any way for me to zoom without a mouse wheel.
